The Stranger Things pinball machine was released by Stern Pinball in December 2019. The game was designed by Brian Eddy, a legendary pinball designer known for his innovative approaches to gameplay. The game immerses players in the supernatural world of Hawkins, Indiana, challenging them to unravel supernatural events and secret government experiments at the Hawkins National Laboratory. The gameplay centers on uncovering the hidden meanings behind these strange occurrences, including the appearance of the telekinetic girl known as "Eleven," and helping characters like Chief Jim Hopper, Joyce, and the kids close the dimensional gate to the Upside Down.

How to Play

Objective

The main goal of Stern's Stranger Things pinball is to survive the supernatural events in Hawkins, Indiana by defeating Demogorgons and other creatures from the Upside Down. You must navigate between the normal world and the Upside Down while completing modes based on scenes from the Netflix series. The ultimate objective is to reach the final wizard mode by mastering all dimensions.

Controls

• Flippers: Use the left and right flippers to hit the ball and keep it in play
• Launch Button: Press to launch the ball into play
• Start Button: Press to begin a new game
• Plunger: Use to launch the ball into play (if present on the machine)

Gameplay

• Starting the Game: Press the Start Button to begin your journey into the mysteries of Hawkins.

• Ball Launch: Launch the ball into play using the plunger or launch button.

• Dimension Switching: Navigate between the normal world and the Upside Down by completing specific shots and objectives.

• Character Modes: Activate modes featuring characters from the series, each with unique objectives and challenges.

• Demogorgon Battles: Face the Demogorgon by completing certain shot sequences and objectives throughout the game.

• Telekinetic Powers: Use the electro-magnetic ball capture system (on Premium/LE models) representing Eleven's telekinetic abilities.

• Upside Down Effects: Experience immersive visual effects from the video projector that create the Upside Down atmosphere.

• Multiball Modes: Activate various multiball modes by completing certain sequences, allowing multiple balls in play simultaneously.

• Final Battle: Progress through all modes to reach the ultimate wizard mode for maximum points and complete your mission.
