Game History

Radikal Bikers is a racing arcade game developed by the Spanish company Gaelco and released in March 1998. The game was licensed to SNK for distribution in Japan and featured players taking on the role of pizza delivery drivers racing through Mediterranean environments on Italian scooters. The game's premise involved delivering pizzas before rival drivers while navigating through heavy traffic and tight, twisting roads.

The arcade version featured three difficulty levels corresponding to different cities: Margherita (easy, set in Milan), Capricciosa (medium, set in Rome), and Diabola (hard, set in Naples). Players who completed all four races in a level could advance to the next difficulty level for free. The game ran on hardware featuring a Motorola 68EC020 CPU and TMS32031 DSP, with sound handled by an ADSP2115 CPU.

Radikal Bikers is considered the spiritual predecessor to Smashing Drive, another Gaelco racing title.
