Game History

DrumMania is a drumming music video game series produced by Bemani, the musical division of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. It first released as an arcade game in 1999

The game was part of Konami's expanding rhythm game portfolio during the late 1990s, which included titles like Beatmania and GuitarFreaks. DrumMania featured a simulated drum controller that players used to play along with songs by following on-screen note patterns. The game was designed as a drumming simulation where players attempted to match the drum parts of various songs as accurately as possible.

The series saw numerous arcade releases throughout the 2000s, with numbering continuing until DrumMania V8 released in March 2011. During this period, the series evolved through different hardware platforms, including the System 573 digital platform, which DrumMania was the first to utilize. The numbering series eventually ended with V8, after which the series transitioned to the GITADORA series through DrumMania V and XG series.

How to Play

Objective

The main goal of DrumMania is to play along with various songs by hitting the corresponding drum pads in time with the on-screen note patterns. You must achieve the highest accuracy possible by hitting notes correctly to earn points and clear stages. The game simulates the experience of playing drums in a band, with the ultimate objective of mastering each song and achieving the highest score possible.
